    Looking for help

Open up the engine and pull the transmission yourself. Remove transmission and ship. Check this link. Its for a venture but the process on a vmax is nearly identical. https://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?508-Second-Gear-Repair

    Exhaust change and then some

Take a photo of the muffler outlet and post it. It will help the member here identify what baffle you are running in the muffler. There are a couple options. The race baffle is quite loud. If you put in a smaller baffle, it will mellow it out a bit. That is the easiest way to go about it.

I don't know anyone in SoCal. I'd ship it to Sean Morley. He know the vmax transmission like no other. I would have just started with him. He offers undercutting service, overdrive options, etc... Email him: [email protected]

Maximum Front Tire Width for Stock Rim 1st Gen?

The OEM front wheel is 2.15 x 18 The info is in the service manual, Chapter 8, page 12. I've run a 120 on mine with no issues. There have been a few guys that put a 130 on. I think they are still alive... I'm sure lots of folks will say its not a good idea. Its not made for that narrow of a...

The Original 1985 Yamaha Vmax Ready to Ride...All Original...

First year model in decent shape with reasonable miles. Other than the aftermarket sissybar, luggage rack, rotors, rear signals, and the oil pressure gauge, it looks pretty OG.

    Modded Gen1

    three percent the truth

It wouldn't be the first time that I saw a photo on the internet that was fake but, lots of folks say it was real just because they want it to be true.

    three percent the truth

I think trump is an embarrassment to the county. The way he delivers a speech, his "off the cuff" remarks, and his actions on social media reveal him to be the true person he is. Make you own judgement. All the charts and graphs in the world don't mean chit to me. Information on every website...

VMAX 1200 front brake reservoir sizes

85-07 vmax all use 5/8" master cylinder for both the front brake and clutch. You don't want to go any smaller than 14mm for either. Installing a 14mm clutch master will make it easier to pull the lever. It will change the engagement point. It will be closer to the grip. I've found that it's...

Lifetime warranty 200 pc Husky socket set 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 inch $99 Home Depot

Not a bad deal. Retailers need to put together some 6 pt socket sets. I can't think of a time when I needed a 12pt socket over 1/2" in diameter. I've come across 12pt bolts on some connecting rods. Square heads are more common in my garage for pipe plugs and running a tap in a hole with a...

    Drag Racing my F-150

I've got a stock 2018 3.5 ecoboost. Super cab w/long box. Few inches longer and a few pounds lighter than the CC w/short box. I'd like to do a tune on it but I'm afraid to void the warranty. I have a ford premium care warranty for 8 years/150,000 miles.
