    VMax rider down

I hope he is ok! His speed was faster than it should be IMO. Driving a 24t box delivery truck in the city made me realize how unpredictable traffic around is, patience was a forced reality in the truck... on a motorcycle it's a probable lifesaver.

    Restored '88.

Great job Bill, keep it up you will feel so much better if you add these type activities to your daily regimen. I should pull out my Mt. bike, nothing fancy; 24 speed, steel frame, front suspension. I used to ride single track 3-4 times a week when I lived in Georgia and Washington. Our local...

    Tire Review

I am due for a set of tires but probably will put on a set of used Shinko Verge 011's (120/70ZR18 / 200/50VR18) I took off before my Newfoundland trip, only about 2500 miles on them. I may try my hand at installing them myself since it's $30 for each tire at the local stealership to mount tires...

    Which Vmax?

Not much difference, there was a slight improvement in 2002 but with either year you would be getting pretty much the same bike. I'm thinking you might be able to work out a better price on the '99 but that all depends on the seller's attitude IMO. Take a look at this thread to give yourself...

    Stock Center Stand replacement??

I believe I have, but it was over 11 years ago now so the memory is a bit foggy. That was 2007, my 1st year with Redbone and I replaced the exhaust at the end of 2008 with a Mark's 4 into 2 exhaust. The Marks exhaust allows retention of the centerstand and you can remove the centerstand with...

    Crappy neighbors

I hope you get these a-holes, they must have thought they could do whatever they wanted to. Luckily my neighbors are nice and have no issues, but then again my house was built in a mature forest. There are 5-6 30"+ oaks and 20-30 paper birch, maple, and more oak trees along with some pine...

    Kenda Cataclysm. Winner!

I believe that gamorg02 used a 130 on the front, but as I type this I'm now thinking it may have been a radial tire. I'll have a look around to see if I can find the info.

    Ready to ride!

I also have a Joe Rocket Sonic but it's not what you would consider a mesh. It does have a zip out panel that reveals mesh section from the wrist running under the arm and widening out to about 6"-7" from the pit area to waist. In hot temps (90*+) and humid it is too hot when sitting but once...

    2020 year Harley Pan-America

The big adventure bikes (~1200cc) are popular atm but the smaller/ lighter ADV bikes (700-800cc) are becoming the go to bikes. The big bikes are heavy by nature which are designed for the long distance riders and they excel at that but the market is small. Most of the new riders are finding the...

    Death wobble

On a stock Vmax the rear shocks will be 13", being that you have a non stock front end that height is different from stock, as Mr. Midnight stated you'll need to measure. How to check your sag (link on how to) We can help once you come up with the information. The Vmax will not ever handle like...

    head pipe diam

There are a lot of variables when looking at performance gains, The stock head pipes have a inner pipe so the outside measurement will be larger. Read Sean Morley's posts in Mike's linked post to gain some insight as to where your performance is typically at stock and where the aftermarket full...
