a 90° chuck helps a lot, i always give customers the options, but replace the rubber ones every tire change. I had one that was 5 years old, i bent it and it just broke in half. scary. but yea my bikes all have the 90° aluminum ones. pro tip- don't get them to match your wheels, pick...

i do agree, i think it COULD get better, however the voltage the OP was talking about is the same thing I saw and since I had a good battery, was never stranded (6 years).

mine did the same thing, unless you are having battery issues, i wouldn't worry about it

IIRC doesn't one set of flanges have a collar on them? maybe some pics?

i usually try to run the bike before i take the carbs off, to loosen up the rubbers. i've also used a heat gun, maybe not the safest thing tho.

they work great on a vmax, shouldn't be a problem with you grips, they accommodate a lot of different diameters.
