Saddlebag Options (or lack thereof) and how to properly mount them

I have a few bag sets we've removed from bikes we parted out. Not sure if they might interest you but you can email me at [email protected]

    Radial Mount Calipers

You are offsetting any benefit of the radials reduction in flex by having the bracket. So in general there is no benefit provided you have the same piston volume, pad surface, or rotor diameter changes. If you increase any of those features then you will get some benefit from the change...

Parts Wanted 93-07 Fork Brace / fender mount

I would need to check but I might have a few fork braces for that year. I have several for the 85-92 forks but not as many for the 93-07's.

Parts Wanted Gen 1 seat and/or back rest

I do have some Corbin backrests if you can find a corbin seat with the spot at the back that accepts it.

    New member - 2003 VMAX

85-89's share the same analog ignition system and wiring. Some parts intercharge (like the starter and stator) but many parts are specific to those years (like relays, main harness, pickup coil, and CDI).

Changing front tire, need help with options and with brake system.

You already have a good braking system. I would just get HH pads. They will fit various suzuki models with the most common being the 99-07 Hayabusa. I stock them in the sintered and semi metallic if you wanted something less aggressive (if your brakes are too grabby). Double check and see if the...

    V-Boost Whining sound with Ignitech

It should at least make noise as it moves. As far as a while that may be normal. We would normally call it a 'Whirr" as it opens, a small pause, another "whirr" as it closes, with a short pause then a very short "whirr" as it takes up the slack in the cable and ready to start functioning.

    V-Boost Whining sound with Ignitech

I just put a new file in there for the 90-07 versions. Give it a try. It's named "Vmaxnew with servo ready for new install may 2023"

    V-Boost Whining sound with Ignitech

Might need to update the setting. It may have a signal that is making it constantly cycle (some bikes do that). Do you have the laptop and software needed? I can add you to the dropbox account if you aren't already a member there

Voo Doo exhaust and jetting requirements?

Unless you have a Canadian or Euro bike they did not come with adjustable needles.

2nd Gen VMAX Not for everyone, but added cruiser comfort.

Eventually I will get off my butt and finish putting more of these leaf reproductions together. They will NOT be cheap. Here's a pic of the original setup. I have had a few different colors of the screens made. Still need to make the brackets.

Voo Doo exhaust and jetting requirements?

Jetting is not required but it sounds like someone has already been in there.

I don't recall which pins but yes. You can apply voltage to specific pins and reverse the polarity to the same pins to turn it the other way

    Fine tuning and Dyno-jet settings

A/F counterclockwise (out) is richer. We don't have a "choke" in the conventional sense as nothing is actually restricted to remove a qty of air past some throttle blades. We have an enrichening circuit that adds additional fuel when being used.

Figuring out what Stage Dynojet(see pics) and full exhaust system?

You do have the proper air corrector which can stay in the carb if you are running the pod filers or a modified airbox. You can get the Mikuni 150's from a number of places (small round head) and I try to stock them too (though am out at the moment and not due back on hand until late this month).

    coil conversion harness

I bought all of his last stock. I have the components to make harnesses except the resistors. But, I am not pre-assembling them. So, if you are running an ignitech or want to source your own resistors i can at least provide the rest (I am out of the coils at the moment but can get more coming)

Motorycle For Sale 87 vmax for sale.

Backrest is worth half the value. The rest may not make up the difference unless there is a lot of electrical parts in there.

    Connecting Rod Failures

I have taken apart more then my fair share and don't want to scare anyone with the horrow show pics to follow but thought some might find it interesting. Not sure who has the record for most taken apart but this was just a sampling of "good" rods I had accumulated just for historical comparison...
