    Fuel pump constantly running

My 2000 suffers from the 'way too much clicking everytime I switch on'. Then again, I know my lower rubber boots (between carbs and vboost valves assembly) are shot, and I sure am hoping that is the air leak that precludes the pressure from building up in the bowls and stop the pump as it...

    Clutch adjustment?

Thanks for that Baz! I'm still experiencing a slightly slippy clutch so I'll be checking this out when I come back from holidays. Glad someone here had a clue - I was starting to despair on this one.. :)

    Newbie...BLOWN AWAY

135 is HUGE for a Vmax with just an exhaust and a stage 7 - usually it's more around 125-128. It may be that there's a little more work done to your motor.. Whatever it is, enjoy it! :clapping:

would it be possible to fit wider tires like hd 48 to vmax?

Anything's doable with some fabrication skills. Yes you can go very wide, but you will need a custom swing arm, and also the wider you go the more offset the wheel will be from the center. Does it look good? Beauty's in the eye of the beholder innit.. Does it handle good? As good as a...

Check your gaps (A long story of stupidity)

Well that's interesting. I will be sure to check the gaps on both my '86 (OEM coils) and my '00 (COPs). The '86 always gets **** mileage, although to be fair I haven't really gone through its carbs and I do have a misfire issue I need to check. But the '00 should be sweet - I have a good...

    International Motorcycle Shipping - Suggestions?

I've been importing from the US to Australia. For ocean shipping I've been using Schumacher Cargo Logistics (SCL), and so far they have done a good enough job for me to happily recommend them. Ocean shipping LA - Fremantle (Oz) is around $600, but all the big money is due upon arrival here...

High speed wobble- violent @8:30 130

Have you done the bounce test to confirm that your head bearings are properly adjusted? What is the condition and inflating pressure of BOTH your front and rear tires? What setting do you have on the rear shocks and what's your weight? Try a lower preload setting on the rear - the...

    Low Performance...Possibly?

I think if you have a soapy Dunlop it'll break loose easily. If you have a grippy Shinko it will not. With a Metzeler you're in between, prolly still need to shift your weight forward a bit!

    Vboost Experts Please Comment

As long as it works while riding I would ignore the lack of self-check on start up. It doesn't make you any faster, whereas while running it does!

    Crazy backrest price

It did go for 850 to the bid pusher.. Now was that a real buyer or a 'mate' pushing up the price? We'll see if it gets relisted lol

    Two rear head pipes!

The other thing is the front pipes are double-skinned, I don't think the rear are?

    Crazy backrest price

Current bid 850 with 15mns to go - shipping to me down under is another 74 bucks. Yea, CRAZY! No idea who would pay that much..

Do i give up on dave at mach 1 transport?

I have used Mach-1 3 times now. First time, Kyle organized it and it was ok although it did take a while until they turned up to pick up. Second time (late last year), I organized it myself but paid through Kyle. Again it was slower than expected to have the bike picked up, but it got there...

    Them crazy Pakistani's

Guy's got decent balance for sure. What amazed me was the bike didn't flip up when he hung all the way behind the rear wheel.

    Why dyna beads didn't work...

Just so you know, one of the best things I've ever found to remove glue residue off anything is WD-40! Try it, you'll be amazed. Just rub it in a little and you'll see. :clapping:

    Thoughts on Corbin seseat

I have an original Corbin on the '86. It's definitely super-comfy on long runs, even if I feel I sit more 'on' the bike than 'in' the bike. I don't bolt it down either. Just lift it off to refuel. It's not going anywhere while you're sitting on it, and mine hasn't even got the tongue to hold...
