Yeah I look further over it….takes the wind right over my helmet….I don’t mind it. Things will probably change after I go to a Sean mid cut seat eventually.
Another question for you Scrape….what happens to the backsides of the rivets when you drill the heads off? Do they just fall into the mufflers and rattle around?
So 82 degrees today so out for a little shake down run of about 60 miles today. Couple of things….this bike is just screaming for a 6th gear…..the seat may be one of the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been on…so ready to get off at 60 miles and thirdly HORRIBLE factory hand grips. lol
Everything...
exactly.... I was just thinking someone could probably use a 5/16 flat washer or something similar as the spacer to save having to drill all those pennies. lol
take your time man.....no worries....by the way great looking bike.
Well I said damn the torpedoes full speed ahead (after speaking with Sean for advice) I drilled a tiny hole in the speedo cover (it is plastic) after looking at some break down pics on eBay and mounted the sucker.
Anyone know if I can drill into the speedometer housing to mount the bracket with a very short screw without jacking things up inside?
I’d be drilling just behind the chrome bezel where the cup starts.
Thanks for the response Sean….I’m leary of screwing into the housing for the Speedo….I think I’m going to use some type of glue for the plastic the housing is made out of….I tried regular super glue (Gorilla & Loc Tite brands)….wouldn’t hold.
I’ll post pics of the mounting pieces Raptor sent...
So I got the shift light and wired it up….works as advertised….anyone got suggestions on mounting this to the speedo housing? The mounts they sent have a hole in it like you’d screw it into the housing….don’t think il doing that…double sided tape or super glue?
any suggestions welcome
So I ordered the shift light from Raptor on the 9th and just received an update that it will be delivered on the 22nd????
WTF are they doing walking it here???
I guess I should’ve checked Amazon first…didn’t even think they’d have it …two days.
