exhaust popping and no power at low speeds

Unless you are having knocking issues you dont need higher octane gas in the Max. You will actually lose power and build up carbon. I have a high compression, advanced timing setup and the bike runs best on good old 87 octane. And unless you have a sync tool to tell you exactly what your...

    !!!!Need Some Serious Help!!!!

Well Well Well I think I found the absolute last Dyna 3000 for a 85-89 in existence. It was from a shop in Austraila of all places. Their last one sitting on the shelf for quite awhile. It was expensive but on its way. I am going to turn in my stock one to see if it can be fixed so I can have a...

    Electric oil pressure gauge

I am running one. U have to ground the sender so u can't just run it into the port. I used a flexible stainless hose from the oil port to the sender & attached the sender to the frame so it would be grounded. Plus having it stick into the port is dangerous IMHO as it could break off

    !!!!Need Some Serious Help!!!!

I will have to look into that though because I have a custom gauge set up. Water temp is manual gauge, and I have my working fuel gauge in there with an oil pressure gauge. Wired up all the indicators using LEDs so a rewire might be in order. Thats ok, I have needed to fix the high beam...

    !!!!Need Some Serious Help!!!!

Different style ignitions. Not compatible through the years. I am using COPs, the value is 1.8 ohms. I dont know why it bit it but it is not uncommon that the older ones fail. With that said I would think that running the extra resistors with the COPs on a stock ignition wouldnt be a bad idea.
