Has anyone tried this? Would you recommend it?

When I was having my seat recovered I got the guy to cut it down lower and put in a slab of Gel, much like the one below. I've never had problems with long rides (except running out of fuel)

    Electrical gremlins in the 1260!

Might be the same as this? A break somewhere in the fuel sender circuit http://vmaxforum.net/showthread.php?t=29328

Can you guys identify this bike???

The BT1100 Bulldog was expected to be the replacement for the Vmax but fell far short, then they mated it with the Warrior and came out with the MT-01 An amazing bike that can stand up for itself

My two babes... Yeti and Grizzly

Would a double U-joint work if you ran the middle shaft through a support bearing?

Nice, but rotating the crank to TDC will be annoying :biglaugh: Has the drive stuff got anything to do with an electric reverse? :ummm:

    Trying my hand at fiberglass

Yeah, it was pretty short - lights & reg brought it out a bit further, it didn't do much to stop spray coming up off the road

Bikes you see listed year after year on Craigslist.

They could just be an excuse for the wife... "but Honey, I've been trying to sell the bike for a year now. Maybe new exhausts will attract the buyers?"

    Trying my hand at fiberglass

Not bad at all, almost the same as when I did mine - but I didn't keep those mounting holes, a single bolt in the center held it in place

    What does this diode do

The old wiring harness has a stand-alone diode for the Oil Level sensor/warning light http://vmaxforum.net/showthread.php?t=32754

    What does this diode do

yup, #32 is the pack of diodes in front of the airbox somewhere #14 isn't on mine, could it be there to protect the battery from when the regulator/rectifier goes south?

My two babes... Yeti and Grizzly

They're aren't any gears on that... but then, the new bits look a bit small for a hydrostatic motor :ummm:

    New guy from CT

It's going to be difficult getting that baby seat fitted, but I' sure if you took off the rear seat and fabricated a sturdy bracket you'd be most of the way there :biglaugh:

    Trying my hand at fiberglass

When I work with fiberglass I end up with more on me than on the bike

    LED taillight question.

Are you sure you got the running light/brake light wiring the right way around? I wired up a new LED set and got them the wrong way around - running lights were super-bright and the brake light was insignificant, swapped the leads and hey-presto, running lights were dimmer and the brake light...

    1986 Fazer

Don't annoy me, FZXs don't pop up for sale here that often.. Currently looking for a 750 with a front & backend swap, then I'm going to chop the rear seat off it
