HELP!! what causes brake pressure not to release?

I'm glad you seem to have found it. Apart from all the advise given already, dirty/sticky/corroded pistons in the caliper can cause the similar symptoms, but it's not so likely.

    Low compression + grey smoke

I'm impressed. Well done. The head gasket looks like it has been without good anti corrosion inhibitor. No biggie, as long as the water jackets in the head don't appear to have any corrosion. (I don't see any) The head gasket doesn't appear to be blown. I think that side of things is OK...

    North Carolina

Don't worry, I too have been surprised at how well the solar trials here went. I doubted it would work, but it did! :ummm: According to google, Perth has an average of 8.8 hours of sunshine per day, and LA has approximately 9.2 sunlight hours per day. Perth has about 1.74 million people...

    Help Fuel Issue

SpecOps13's link covers it pretty good. My thoughts are, check the float bowls for debris as mentioned above. Maybe change fuel filter. See how much rubbish is caught up in the old filter. The reason is, I'm guessing that something has got stuck onto one of the little valves in the pump...

In my city, many people now have solar power. Most people who have solar, are getting a cheque every month instead of a bill, because they put power into the grid. I don't have solar electricity, only hot water, but it is not unreasonable now to have free power, free "fuel" for the daily...

    Lowering an inch

I don't actually know how much mine is lowered overall. More than an inch probably, but I had to use a shorter stand. It was too upright for me to be comfortable with it. It felt like a strong breeze might blow it over. Best option (for me) was to get one from Captain Kyle. He can send you...

If this becomes public, and is valid, it presents a real constitutional crisis

Thanks for the info guys. I thought there was something more to it than meets the eye, but there isn't. Innacurate records can't really be counted upon. The article which Alorio1 originally posted said "indicate several events were registered to the name Barack Obama (appears to be...

If this becomes public, and is valid, it presents a real constitutional crisis

I see. He says he was born in America? If the rule is he must be American born, then at some stage in proceedings, doesn't he have to prove that he is in fact American? It's a bit late now...

    Miss

Sounds like you are on the right track. If you have access to a carb balancing tool, you could do a shotgun, and then balance the carbs. If you still have problems after that, them maybe pull the carby's off for a look.

    Water pump

At 225 an engine isn't overheating. Cooling systems are pressurised only to stop the water boiling, as the normal operating temp is over 212.

    Best compact horn alternate?

This looks like a good idea. I have pulled apart my Stebel to do the same thing, but am waiting for my bike to come back from crash repairer so I can mount it ... before I get into another dumb-ass fender bender. I dislike the mounting point next to the carby's, which is just an aesthetic...

What's the deal? I'm sorry, but American politics is confusing. Does this mean he's lied about his birth date or something like that?

Where to buy new or good condition carb diaphragm covers?

Right here probably! Someone will chime in.

What did you do to your Vmax today? Part 2

I had this problem with a glass bead jammed in the hole (on my std m/cyl). It worked OK until I got down the road, initially. Because it doesn't allow full pressure to flow back into the reservoir you can pump up the pressure, which takes out the free play on the lever, and starts to slip...

    eBay speedo/Tach

Great post thanks KJ. I have had those on my watch list for ages. Good to know they work properly.
