Just out of curiosity have you loosened the top fork pinch bolts? If they are not loose when you change the springs without removing the forks they will hold the cap from loosening. :ummm:

Here is a couple of issues I have fixed on my 85 maybe it may help. My bike is stock except for some slip-ons. Have you changed the filter? The tank could have rust in it and you maybe drawing some up and clogging the filter just enough. With the bike off and you first turn the key can you here...
I would have to say the same thing about my delkevics. They are the 13 inch ovals and I run them without the baffles. I do notice more heads turning when I am driving down the street. Even had a Harley guy tell me it sounded good for a metric bike. I also have not heard the hole shots.

The new Harley 750 water cooled is running a 150/90-15 by the spec seen that is on their site. Does not say if it is radial tires or not. Still trying to find out. I doubt that it is as Harley is trying to keep the price down for that class of bike . Trying to attract the younger rider.
