    Flakes in oil

Yes, it is. That's why this site has an ignore feature. The typical break-in period of any motorcycle is 500 to 1000 miles depending on type. The absolute highest break-in period I've ever heard of is 1500 miles. I've never heard of any vehicle requiring 3,600 miles to "break in" or that well...

    Saddlemen Bag

That piece of aluminum looks like it came off a sliding glass door frame.

    Delkevic Slip Ons

I'd be interested in hearing how they sound. That's a sweet ride, man.

    Oil Pressure Gauge

When I bought my 2007 VMax in July of 2007, it was one of only 22 left in the nation. They had to ship it in from Nevada. (I live in Georgia.) That was nearly 17 years ago. People tend to forget how old these bikes are and how few and far between parts are getting. I'm doing a lot of work to...

    Parts Wanted Carb rebuild service

My apologies for neglecting to mention you. I've always thought of you as the Parts Warehouse more than the labor for hire market.

    Parts Wanted Carb rebuild service

@dannymax and @one2dmax both do it and they're both very, very good at it. It used to be around $650.00, but with prices on pretty much everything going up I'm sure it's a bit more than that now.

    Towing with a dolly

Although I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS, I've seen it done the other way around. A buddy of mine towed his Harley Davidson Sportster by putting the back wheel up on the dolly, then using tie down straps on either handlebar end to either side of the dolly to hold the front wheel in a straight line...

    Corrosion question

That is incorrect. WD 40 contains a blend of lubricants and anti-oxidation agents. It also contains cleaning chemicals, hence the WD in its name. WD stands for Water Displacement. The carrier cleaner evaporates leaving the dry lubricant and anti-oxidation agents in place. It's about the best...

    Corrosion question

That isn't corrosion. It's oxidation. I'll bet a million dollars I don't have that the "cleaner" you used stripped off the protective outer layer of the bolt heads and that's why they're oxidizing. The best thing to do is replace them. The option to that is to use either some CRC spray lube or...

    This can't B normal!

No. Not normal. You probably have dirt and debris in the caliper itself that prevents the piston from backing off so the pad drags on the rotor a bit. Time to rebuild the caliper - piston out and all. Or you can get one from @one2dmax. https://morleysmuscle.com/product/oem-rear-caliper-exchanged/

Developed a lot of deceleration popping… With no changes to machine

You're running too lean. Richen up your mixture a bit. Another quater to half turn out on your mixture screws should do it. Edit to add: A way to test this is to ride with the choke on a bit. If it stops the popping, that's your issue.

    EFI conversion on a Gen-1

I think the problem you are having is you don't have a MAF sensor. The way that you have that set up, it's very similar to the IROC Z's of the 80's. They ran into the same issue because the injectors were not only a good bit away from the cylinders, but they were on isolated runners (the tuned...

I'M DONE. Retiring before its to late

Ahhh. Ok. So that's how it is. Then let me go back and do that over.

I'M DONE. Retiring before its to late

Then tell @Josh BARRETT that as he was the one that started that conversation. See? It's ALWAYS OK for you guys to do anything. He can talk about golf all he wants, so can you; but if I answer his direct question then SUDDENLY this isn't a golf forum. The blatant hypocrisy is simply staggering.

With all due respect, the planet does not live by your dictionary.

I'M DONE. Retiring before its to late

I miss golf a great deal. I used to be a 12 handicap back in my late 20's - early 30's. Degenerative Disk Disease, neck surgery, two back surgeries, a couple of cancer surgeries took that away from me. My golf clubs are out in the garage covered in dust. Every time I see them I get a little sad.

I'M DONE. Retiring before its to late

Which is my point. It's ALWAYS OK for republicans to come on bitching about "the woke mob" or "let's go Brandon" or any other thing they wish. And it's ALWAYS OK for their buddies to agree and hate on all of it and spam it post after post, page after page. One single person shows up to say...

I'M DONE. Retiring before its to late

It never is the moment anybody like @ga_max speaks up in a reasonable way. You can scream out about the "woke mob" (which nobody to this day has ever been able to explain) but if you point out what the phrase "woke" actually means, suddenly it's a taboo topic that can't be discussed. This forum...

OEM parts for our discontinued bikes, get em while you can!!!

I'm betting that's what it is. Sellers don't want to tell you they can't get it. They'd rather blame the manufacturer and just say it's discontinued even though they have not been told that.

    FCR carb squirter cleaning

Well, most of us poor regular guys don't own a commercial shop with commercial grade equipment. We just have a small one we got for 150 bucks from Harbor Freight. So yeah, I'd leave it in there for a couple of days with them being that old and that gunked up.
