Saddlemen Bag

So when I bought this bike it came with a Saddlemen bag….sits on the rack attached to backrest but here’s what’s weird to me.

It has an aluminum piece that sits in the bag and has 2 bolts that run thru it, the back of the bag and screws into the top mount holes for the pad…in fact the aluminum piece has a curve that match’s the curve on the bar so it fits together like it was made for it.

Seems to me like he rigged this up himself…..works well for sure.

Definitely mounts that bag solidly

I'm pretty sure a PO fabricated that bracketry.

I have the same bag on my Vmax, but it is branded Viking.

Mine is adequate without the bracketry, but it would certainly benefit from it. The bottom of my bag is starting to droop over the sides of my luggage rack..

That’s kinda what I thought….mine didn’t come with that strap that goes around the pad….thanks for the reply.

It’s a great bag tho….really versatile

Could be all I know is it fits the curve on the bar perfectly
