I think you better take about three months off! Grand Canyon, Redwood forest, Yosimite, Canyon lands, Pikes Peak, so much to see.

    my first harley ride

I'm about to go out for my first Harley ride.....of the year anyway. Takin' the wifes Vrod for a ride. If she had a VTX, I'd ride that too. I would pretty much ride what ever has two wheels, I don't rip on other brands of bikes, because truthfully I don't give a **** what you ride!! I...

    Dummy!!!

I have used it in the past, very carefully keeping it off any of the tire that could contact the road. Wipe it on with a rag, don't spray it!

    Ruger 10/22 anybody?

Vmax standard exhausts with Harley sound

To get that rumble without spending money is imposible, any home brew mods to your stock system usually come out sounding like it's coming through a tin can. Best to save up and buy a used system.

    Still a legend

I don't believe the Max will ever become a collectors item, yes there may be some MC museum that needs one now and then, but I don't see the value going up or people searching for them as a keep sake.

    Coming up on 20,000

Thanks guys, so I guess the noise level of the engine is the indicator. Mine sounds the same as it did when I bought it, I think. Definetly no box of rocks!

    some help for a newbie

I like the "buy a used one to rebuild" idea. That way you can mess it up before you start on the real deal.

Just sharing a little bike I built...

Looks like a fun little scoot. I wouldn't mind having an early 80's bike to chop on a little.

    Garage made Highbars/crash bars

They look good, is there any way to cut them back and mount a spring loaded peg on the end?

    Intercom?

Perfect statement. We can talk at the next stop, I don't want her yammering in my ear about which way to go, how fast not to go or any other thing she might think I need to do at the time!! Another great thing about her riding her own bike now.
