Bike Fuelling Issue ?... or electrical when hot ?

My kickstand swich gave me sudden drop-outs last spring. I'd be driving along and at ramdom times, the engine would suddenly stop and sometimes jerk and sputter. It always started up and kept going until the next occurance. I cleaned the kickstand switch and never had any more trouble. In your...

    Front Calipers Rebuild

My first choice is to use the rear MC to push them out. Since there are 2 pistons in the Gen1 calipers, you have to block one side somehow so you can put pressure behind the other piston. Sorry, I can't remember how I got both pistons out. I might have clamped one side when it was out "far...

    New owner 2010 vmax

    2005 Resurrection

If you're running DOT3 or DOT4 fluid, you'll want to clean it up ASAP after opening the clutch slave bleeder....before it damages any paint. Good luck - should be interesting.

    2005 Resurrection

Did you check this? I am doubtful your clutch itself could be so bad that it slips at 25% throttle.

    Timing check

Seems like fuel starvation. Fuel filter OK? Gas tank vent working? (Open gas cap after running it and see if it hisses)

    I am completely stumped.

I had the same problem on one of my XS1100's. I used POR15 patch to fix it:

    Got her running but.....

Might as well rebuild the slave while you have the system drained to do the master. Might avoid a second surgury and increases the chances that your problems will be gone.

Drag racing questions for Gen 1 vmax

I'm thinking 111 octane would increase carbon buildup because the fuel would not burn completely. Is there some other logic?
