My 2004 is like the one you have marked up as 2007 but mine does not have the 3mm hole at the top, I know this as I have just rebuilt them in the last few weeks using Racetech Springs and Emulators and for the Emulators you need to drill out the existing holes and add a two more..

Thanks for the info, I spoke to TW Suspension earlier and he recommended filing it down, I also spoke to someone who did this to his bandit and was told the same thing, he apparently tested this and said it made no noticeable difference in the real world between the spacer and filling the lip...

Just in case anyone else runs into the problem I had, the later 43mm forks seems to have two types of damper rod, the RaceTech Gold Emulators sometimes don't fit the end of the Damper Rod, if you file the lip off and 0.5mm if the material behind it, it fits a treat. Apparently you can make a...

What are they like in the twisties? I'm not too worried about longevity as I don't do that many miles but I live where most of my riding is in lanes so grip is more of a priority.

Thanks for the time you put into this, really appreciate it, but why would it be on the handlebar of a bike? Well done for finding the info though, I drew a blank.

Haven't had the bike long and this come with it on the handlebars and a round plastic disc that held something, Sat Nav or something like that, any ideas?

I finally got the parts for my clutch, (Slave Cylinder) installed it last night, just have to ride it now and see if it cured the problem.
