On my 2005 Triumph Speed Triple, a bike notorious for its spongy brake feel, I pump the brakes a few times before going on a ride to get just a bit of firmness to the brakes. The brakes do their job, but they are always spongy feeling.
I swapped my reservoir covers for a set of black VMAX logo ones and put on some highway bars with pegs last week, now the mod monkey is telling me to order one of those exactrep extended fuel tanks.... I fear resistance may be futile.
My wife insisted that I roll it down the driveway and start it on the street when I leave for work at 5am after I put on a set of Supertrapps. Some folks just just don't appreciate the finer things in life! :D

This one looks pretty good, and its a full system!
I scored my pair of supertrapps for $240 shipped a month ago on ebay, the set I got are very clean. A little bit of patience and I'm sure you will score some pipes that are decent shape for a good price.
These are what I've been thinking of, anyone have any experience with these?

Yea, I am pretty happy with them. Probably going to try the foil rust removal trick mentioned above to see if I can pull a little surface rust off of them, but for $100 shipped I'm a happy camper. EBAY for the win!
I swapped out my screws for some stainless hex head ones. The pack I bought was 100 screws, far more than the 4 I needed, if anyone would like a set of 4, send me a pm.
I ended up using the metric equivalent bolt so as not to make it confusing for myself should I ever take them off. They bolted right up no issues. The pair I got off of eBay came with a vintage set of yamaha footpegs already attached, so a little adjustment on them and I'm really digging the set...
Thanks for the tip, my first bike had a petcock, and the middle two had nothing but a light that came on when you had about 1/2 gallon left, but this one had me a bit confused.
