Fork rebuild / overhaul help please

Ok, I know there is vast amounts of info on forks on here - and I'm a little overwhelmed with info. I would appreciate it if someone would read my specific case and comment on what I need etc. Firstly - I am very poor and need to keep this cheap! I have never removed the forks or replaced the...

    Fender Extender Source

No man, it hasn't missed a beat. Once again thanks a lot for that :worthy:. I am just slowly adding bits and changing things on the max, now the weather is back. Gonna start blacking out a lot of the aluminum to prevent the oxidising too. I'll have to get some upto date pictures of it to update...

    Fender Extender Source

Ok, thanks for the reply. looks like it's my only option then. I am in the processes of blacking out a lot of the aluminium, so non-prepped is fine, because it'll be flat black-end anyway. Does it replace the current mini-extension? and how does it mount? Thanks again :punk:

    Fender Extender Source

Does anyone know a cheap souce for a front "fender extender" - the thing that can increase the length on the rear of the front fender to avoid mud and crap being thrown up the radiator fins. Exactrep sells them, but they are ?30gbp + shipping (about $50+ ?) which seems a lot of money :confused2...

    85 - 86 brakes

Awesome, cheers for your help :cheers:

    85 - 86 brakes

I know the front changed from 2 pot to 4 pot at some point, but how long were the original 2 pot calipers fitted? I have the older 2 pot and I assume they continued using them for at least a few years, so my assumption is the 86 pads will fit the 85 brakes.

    85 - 86 brakes

Ok, this question may have been asked before, but are the calipers the same on a 86 model as an 85 model? It's just that 99% of the brake pads I see for sale say "Fits models 1986-92". I know the 93-03 are different, and so on, but did the 86 have different pads to the 85? or should I just buy...

    Speed wobbles

I have only chad "the shakes" it about 3 times, always at the same speed, at the same place in town - about 35-40 mph. I think that it must be triggered by the road surface at that spot, but I have run mine for a couple of years right up to 130 ish with no high speed problems at all.
