Isn't that the craziest thing. I though I was nuts when mine did that. You need to put the 4 hoses back on the carbs to airbox. There are connectors on the top of each carb, this connects to those connectors on the side of the top piece of the airbox, 2 on each side.

The big spacer is there, the smaller spacer is like a spring washer , instead of allowing it(the smaller spacer) to float I tapped it onto the larger spacer, do you think this will cause any problems?

After thinking about it I think that little spacer sits between the bearings to take up the room between the bearing-big spacer-little spacer-bearing, so that the big spacer doesn't move around. Will it hurt anything if there is a little movement on the big spacer?

I did the forks on my 86 last winter, It took a dead blow hammer to get my air balancer off. Once the seal broke they slid right out, but breaking that seal was a pita.
