I have a 2006 Yamaha Vmax with 14K miles. I have not been riding much, once a week, 10-12 miles mostly.
The bike is running rough, not to the point where its not fun to drive but you can tell it is not where it should be.
Until recently there were not any gas stations where we could get...
I removed the cap on top to check air pressure and noticed about 6-8 drops of oil pooled at bottom. 2006 V max. Anything to worry about?
IF so, suggested repair.
Have not changed fork oil since I owned bike (5 yrs). Is there a good thread (video for dummies would be nice) for doing this...
Thank you both for your helpful suggestions. I will try what both of you suggested. I am not seeing any oil on the floor in my carport so its pretty minor in volume but glad to hear its not going to be expensive to fix.
Thank you for your help!
After 22 yrs of marriage my wife has decided...
Looking for helpful suggestions.
I have a small leak from 2 cylinders, any suggestions on the cause, and is it ok to leave as is or does it need to be repaired.
If repaired what would I need to do to fix this?
Thanks,
Glenn
Hello,
I bought a kerker 2.5' competition baffle, part #100-6400 2 weeks ago. Really perks up the performance but next door neighboor is now babysitting her grandchild ( a few months old) so the pipe has to go. $140 incl shipping in US.
I have a K&N airfilter, single that replaces stock...
With a Kerker 4 into 1 system what kind of HP gain (midrange and on top) would you expect to see with the Morey muscle kit?
Would it be best to change the 2 inch baffle for the 2.5 one with the muscle kit?
Cop runner, that is too funny. I bet it would work too. Thanks for the suggestion.
I got pulled over a few weeks ago doing by a sherriff on a bike, said he clocked me doing 58 in 40 zone. Asked me how I was doing and I said I was just out for a quick ride to keep the carbs from getting gummed...
These things are popping up everywhere. Anyone got a solution to beat them (other that remembering to stop before turning right on a red light with no traffic)?
I put Shinkos on a few months ago and they handle very well. Very happy with them. Be sure to break them in for a few hundred miles as with any new tire.
I have a 2006 VMax with 12K miles, have owned it a year, recently changed oil in engine and shaft drive, removed as much brake and clutch fluid as possible with turkey baster and replaced with fresh fluid, new spark plugs. and put in a barely used K & N air filter which I cleaned first, oh...
Saw a post signed Captain Kyle on Channel 9 news re the states case against her was weak.
Hate to disagree but she's a killer and she's going down for killing her kid.
They had less on Scott Peterson and he's not out fishing anymore.
I bought a 1200 Suzuki Bandit a few yrs ago. I found myself wheeling it around corners and driving at a pace that would soon be the end of me. I sold it and no regrets.
The Vmax has the great sound (kerker 4/1 pipe) and it handles so bad that it makes me realize I do not want to push it hard on...
I have an 06 that handled like yours. I did the bounce test to the steering head bearings. Mine bounce way more than the video Sean Morley has on this site.
Check out his video and give it a try, only takes a few minutes. I did not have the spanner wrench so I just used a screwdriver and...
