    Carb Rack "T Hose" Connection

There is a "T Hose" connecting three carbs with incoming gas. Has anyone ever made one or is the best way to replace it to buy the factory piece?

    looking for a helmet

+1 to naughtyG. Bought a gloss black DOT approved full coverage Bell Arrow Helmet Extra Large, $100 online. It was tight, tight, tight. Dropped it scratched the clear visor, would almost cost $50 for a new visor alone with shipping. They had Bell Arrow Shocker, same helmet black with silver...

    Crankcase Hose to Airbox

What is the part no.? I never could find it on any OEM part sites. I put a long plastic tie on just below the spring clamp on the top of the hose. I use the long tie to pull on it up to give some length to the hose so it will go in the fitting. I will try moving the coolant reservoir though...

    2006 & 2007 Vmax Comment

A seller told me they changed something in the clutch or gearbox to help solve the gears problems in earlier years. I had never heard of that one. Have any of you heard of a change made by Yamaha in 2006 or 2007 that makes the gears/clutch better? Also, what do you think of $6,000 for a...

    Crankcase Hose to Airbox

It is not easy connecting this hose to the airbox before connecting the airbox to the carbs. Mine is too short. Is yours? Has anyone replaced the hose with a hardware store hose and if so what size hose fit for you. I want to replace mine and add a little length to it for easier...

    2006 & 2007 Vmax Comment

So there is no reason to discriminate at all. In watching values, seems 2006 and 2007 models frequently are better values over the 2005. Guess the only reason is the Anniversary Edition. 2007 may be a good buy at $5k to $6 k then....

    2006 & 2007 Vmax Comment

See these for sale along with models from earlier years. I would like knowledgeable people to comment on the differences between these two years and earlier models, the pro's and con's of ownership, ect. Things like are they the same, were changes made to them that were not so good or made them...

    First VMAX

+1 to everyone's advice to this point. The only thing I can think of beyond what has already been said is that I would 1) pull off spark plugs and see how they look, ie, rich or lean or just right, and 2) determine if any of the a/f screws are seized, if they can all be screwed in and out.

    Recent Shop Invention

I invented a re-use for my wife's throw away laundry detergent containers. She uses the liquid detergent. There is always some left in the bottom of the bottle, it just will not come out. I fill with hot water and take it to the shop. When I need a quick wash of my hands I push the button valve...

    Building a Carb Sync Tool

The UK tool, it looks like cylinders 2, 3, and 4 are individually synced to cylinder 1 or real gravity, each one at a time. Is this right? If not, maybe someone can give me a step by step of how to do it. Thanks

    Building a Carb Sync Tool

Don't want to spend $100.00 on one, read you can build one for $15.00. Searched the forum and came up empty on how to do it. Can someone tell us how to build one?

    Lowering My Footpegs

Am I the only one or are there other people out there that could use a little extra room between your feet and your knees. My riding position has my knees up a little high because of the distance between my knees and feet. In other words, just a little cramped for confortable riding. I was...

    New Engine Paint Job

As far as the cost of paint, the oem paint seems like was 80 bucks, and you may even need to buy another can of something, and it cost 80 bucks.

    New Engine Paint Job

I thought of airbrushing but the cost of the paint was high. How this happened, one day was just tinkering with it, already had the rattle can and blue tape, and I just started taping. Then just started spraying. I found I could control the spray pretty good. The Rustoleum does not run as much...
