I assume you are talking about the shim cups. The only thing I can think of is to push them down and open the valve, oil the shim cup and work them back and forth.

the tiny washer goes under the e clip on top of the plastic piece, the larger washer is there for the spring to rest on to hold the needle stationary.

Looks like there is a circlip you have to remove

You can try lightly tapping them with a hammer and a drift punch to make sure they did not come unseated

You can also unplug the side stand relay (this relay can make it do real weird things when bad)

Sometimes the starter button will stick in the start position and that could be the squeling noise
