Only sounds like vtwin. All 4 working., but very different sound. I feel kick in at 6 -7 rpm.

I have 3 position swich installed by previous owner. When i switch to boost, it sounds like a vtwin, like boom boom. But when i ride i never feel vboost kick in. I guess its in the background.

Just installed extenders for long trips. $50 on amazon. Takes 4 hours to file, tune and install. Will try on the road later.

I bought mine 2006 for $6000 in LA. If bike starts and runs, I don't think there can be expensive repairs.

Forget to mention: sitting in more vertical position (or different position then a sportbike) - does not automatically make a bike "CRUISER"! Going fast in canyons - that is not a job for Vmax, you must be a VERY good rider to do it (with all improvements). And crash it a few times...

Some morons in Inglewood, LA (Centinella Hospital parking lot for employees) tried to steal my bike at night on parking lot. Bike was covered, but i left key there. (I think someone was spying, because my Vmax looks gorgeous). Use to park there as employee for years. They steal my halfgloves...

I want to remove those 4 chrome round caps on the sides of a bike and attach there round external air filters ( sometimes one can see such on harleys). Does it make any difference on riding/starting/ fuel economy? Or just cosmetic thing?

you can also try change/check oil, or experiment with different types of oil. I switched to Rotella, now it's hard to find neutral when bike is cold.
