    Electric Harley

Harleys website has a sound bite of the new bike. Kinda sounds like jet.

Radiator side reflector. Does it light up?

You can wire them as turn signals or running lights. At one time I had small LED lights in the scoops wired as turn signals but decided they were not noticeable enough for safety. Keep in mind the ones you have would only be visible from the side.

    Sidecar....yes really...

One of my riding group has that harness and takes his daughter on rides a lot since she was about 5. She is 10 now. Seems to work great. Don't know if it is the same harness since she has grown quite a bit. Looks adjustable though. A bit of a hassle to put on them both though.

    Cleaner suggestions for electrical components.

Funny you should say that. About 25 years ago I had an older neighbor that had bad arthritis in his hands and joints. He used WD-40 and claimed it helped tremendously with the pain and flexibility. Seems like a chemical like that could cause problems with prolonged use though... :confused2:

    Need parts supplier

Just don't buy Keyster parts. I would recommend stock parts for ease of mind and quality. There are several discount vendors available. I have used K&N Yamaha in Tulsa OK for years but not lately as haven't needed anything. They were charging 25% over actual cost last time I ordered anything...

    New Exhaust for 1st V-Max

Since the head pipes are about the same size as stock, it would make sense to only buy the slip-on mufflers and save several hundred dollars.

Opinions on Mobil "V-twin" synthetic oil..

I have actually use Mobil 1 15w50 for years and have not had any problems. That said, it is getting so expensive, I am thinking about going to the Rotella. Just not sure which one of the 3 or so versions to use... :biglaugh:

    Cost to benefit...

It doesn't cost $500 for Race-Tech springs and emulators. More like $200-$250 or so unless they have gone up considerably since I bought them. I have both on my current Max and had Progressive springs on my previous Max. Just be sure you get the correct springs for your weight/riding style. I...

    Motion Pro running really high

Morgan Carbtune. Do search on Carbtune. Best sync tool I have ever used. Been syncing carbs since the 70's including my CBX (6 carbs).

    Swing arm choices input please.

Does it allow use of all stock parts including the center stand? Any mods required? How much?

    Vista Cruise

Don't have any pics. It is readily apparent when the grip is removed. The Vista Cruise needs a perfectly round surface to grip when applied. If it is not, there will be drag and the control will not grab and release properly. There is not a large change in the open and closed positions. It is a...

Lying Jay Carney resigns as the media turns up the heat

Would be nice if he told the truth in the book instead of perpetuating the lies.

    Interesting thought..

Back in 1958 I had a Harley Hummer (125cc - 2-stroke). Used to buy the "white gas" to mix with the 2-stroke oil. Not sure why but seem to remember it was supposed to be better for 2-stroke engines at the time.

    Vista Cruise

There is a ridge that locates the stock grip chrome piece that has to be carefully removed so the control will grip the throttle tube properly. The only trick is to be sure the tube stays almost perfectly round or the control won't hold or release properly. This particular cruise control is...

    The 50 worse charities

    Vista Cruise

I prefer the one that clamps the throttle tube, not the grip. Same company. Requires slight mods to the throttle tube. Used on both my Maxes and every bike I have owned since the late 70's. The brass adjuster was custom made by a friend in the late 70's for ease of adjustment. Had two at one...

    Phone mounts?

I have all of those items and more. Did you check if they have a specific mount for your phone? Also have waterproof cases both specific and generic. Or at least they used to. I have one of those also.

    Anyone have this windscreen installed?

I have had the OEM version and the Givi A123 which is what I use now. A little bigger than the OEM and less expensive. I use the OEM Mini-shield for trips and this around town.

    Phone mounts?

You don't have to have two ball mounts. I just added one for flexibility.
