    Buying another bike....

I think its was a great deal Todd. now you don't have the same old bike Busa-Mike has. Even thought I Race suzies for many many years, if I were to buy today, I'd get the zx-14. Ofcourse I'd get the good one with the big engine, but thats just me <BMFG>

    Michigan drag day?

Yeah, but I'm so pitiful that I can't even get my foot up on the peg to shift fast enough to get second! I used to race- it is a addiction with me. First I want to win a few trophies.. then I spend up to set some records... then I spend up to win some national events... Can't get into that...

    Michigan drag day?

I'll come, take pics, and eat Mike's food! (too fat to race)

I bought a new bike, the most powerful production bike.....

I'm not a "bike snob" I'll follow you two any time (I figured "ride with" would be a bit of a stretch) Besides I could use some of those rides where you don't get rained on <G>

I bought a new bike, the most powerful production bike.....

Way to go Todd! now THAT is a bike that you can enjoy with very little work. If it dosen't rain tomorrow, its going to be in the 50s! I predict tire smoke in the Washington area! Get an extended swingarm for it and enjoy very quick trips on it!

Vmax Mike and his new bike....

They let him run in one of their all plastic big wheels. He won his heat, but got bord and didn't want to wait around to race again. We came back later and there were a bunch of kids doing "unofficial" races and he got in on a couple of those until the other kids wouldn't race him any more...

Vmax Mike and his new bike....

At Lapeer days each year they had a "big Wheel" race. I think I was the only one that entered a "modified" big wheel (for my son to ride). It had rubber tires, a spoked front wheel with high pressure air tire and a high back seat so he could get a better "push". They wouldn't let him enter...

    Buying another bike....

If Todd and Mike were both riding 'busas, I guess I would have to go get a ZX14 so I could follow them around and listen to their pipes... Naa, I want the BMW 6 cylinder... And a private jet

    Buying another bike....

Wow to have money like I used to... the Fazer got no respect back in the day- how cool would it be to have a 10 sec Q Ship dressed up like the lowly Fazer. A few years ago (when I worked for a living) I would have bought that bike from you just to see people's faces when I ripped them a new one...

    Buying another bike....

I assume your saying it was gutless at low RPM AFTER he put the pipe on it. the showroom stock bandit 1200 I had (with only 600 miles on the clock) pulled OVER 50 ft/lbs of torque at 2000 rpm! In fact it pulled more torque until about 7--- rpm thrn my best buddie's FZ1 That Bandit ran out of...

    Buying another bike....

Wait! I could do FREE! <BMFG> I'd still be pulling the bike down (I mean you DO have all winter. Why wait until spring to find out if there's anything bad in there. A set of gaskets and rings wouldn't bankrupt you and that would give you a great chance to look around. While you have the...

    Buying another bike....

Bandit 1200 Would make you a real nice sport turning/street bike. They have a great torque curve which makes them a ball on the street. But at the strip, they are 11 sec machines UNLESS you want to open up the engine and do some major work. As far as sale prices, the Bandit has been the red...

how do you feel riding your max

My first and second V-Max I always had to worry about my cloths riding to and from work. I left early and came home late. (in Michigan you can go thru all 4 seasons in that amount of time) Weekends were for racing or shooting practice and most of the time for both. End result was those bikes...

Mike, keep me in mind if you want to go in the spring. (not to race, just to watch)

1985 vmax barn find...new to the site!

Super cool! Now the big question... Are you going to restore back to stock or just build a cool ride? By now you no doubt know the scores you made in OEM add ons. Personally, I'd love to see it with the original mufflers again. Of course I would also be real cool (if it needs engine work) to...

    vmax coil questions

Back in the old days, when I was running Brit bikes and road racing a Yamaha 2 stroke, I had a little trick I did that made a huge difference. I would add a bias resistor and a car coil. this made a huge difference in performance, but to get that boost I ran a lot more gap and more advance...
