hey thanks for that,i worked it all out and the engine covers range from 37mm to 42mm so i got 30 at 40mm and 5 at 45mm and will check them as i replace them will get back to ya all and let you know how i got on
Good day from good old New Zealand,ive finally got THMAX running properly again after having the carbs on and off a large no.of times (patience is a virtue) and now once again have the love, and want to make it look even better with s/s engine bolts but the price of postage to NZ is horrendous...
Help! I'm in the process of replacing the diaphragms ,but what I didn't do before taking off the old ones was mark where the tag of the diaphragm was in connection with the slide ,is it that critical ? are they all the same ? if so could someone send me a photo of theirs so I could line mine up...

they are storm bark busters that clamp onto the handle bars,just bought them from our local bike shop ,one of the great things is that you can buy the shields separately if they get damaged
If you are thinking of heated hand grips may be try these hand shields ,I found with the heated grips tips of me fingers still froze,hands still got wet of coarse but not with these, dry hands ,no wind chill ,thumbs up :eusa_dance:

woo hoo got the beast running like a cut cat again after 3 years sitting, having the carbs off twice :bang head: (boy some off those jets have tiny holes) and then realising how rusty the tank was :damn angry:,fixing that with a three pot system ,putting back in then taking it...
I thought the pickup had gone rusty but upon cleaning it i found that it was made of copper and the only thing that was actually rusty was the screw that holds it togeather so now ive replaced that and lined the tank and getting ready to put it all back togeather
