Don't hate me...but i'm thinking about getting rid of max...

Rode the max to work today. Just a short ride so I didn't get a good feel for it. Overall it ran fine. I am going to have to mess with the idle as it wants to die on me all the time. I haven't tried the 4-6k bog out yet either but I'll get to that. Overall there weren't too many issues and I...

Any wanna trade their Kerker 4-2-1 for a Marks 4-2?

I would love to trade straight up for my Hindle 4-2-1. However, I don't want the bike to be down while I wait for different exhaust to come in. Marks pipes sound wicked!

Welp, swap is done! After 22 pain-staking hours (many of them were nebraska), i'm finally back home with the Vmax. Can't wait to fix the idle and then get out and ride! I don't want to be in a car for a month or two now.. lol

Just change the mains on morleys muscle kit?

No other changes? Easy enough. :)

Just change the mains on morleys muscle kit?

Sadly, all I know of the build is morleys muscle kit. I will see if abe can chime in for the details.

Just change the mains on morleys muscle kit?

I'll be the new owner of HDKILA's Vmax this week. He has morleys muscle jet kit installed on the bike and it runs great over in Illinois. However, I live at an altitude of 5000 ft. Just north of Denver... Will just changing the mains to, lets say, 145's suffice in curing the super richness...

I should have know better, looking for a mirror now

So wait...why did you need a block of wood? Sorry about the drop...it's always frustrating when crap like that happens

I'm in Utah and loving it

Heck yeah! The high altitude may make the max a bit slower, but the scenery is amazing!

    150-90-15 VS 140-90-15 rear tire

You are correct. The 150 will be a hair wider but also taller because they are both 90's

Don't hate me...but i'm thinking about getting rid of max...

We'll aim for 6 oclock at the earliest, i'm not much of a morning person. Basically, we'll aim to leave by 8....so we'll leave by 8:45-9:00. I'll leave the last burnout for you. I'm NOT touching the bike anymore haha. Don't want to risk anything. I can see it already....I go and do a burnout...

well everything is set in stone. We're meeting in Des Moines around 7 pm on Wednesday! I rejetted the FZ for his altitude last night and he is in the process of removing the nitrous (he'll probably pop that for sale around here if anyone is interested!). I've also got a new front tire...

    '01 V-Max vs. '06 Triumph Sprint

I've seen in magazines the new sprint st trap around 125 mph running low low 11's. Pretty stout for a sport-tourer. Not as neat as the fjr or concourse though

Definitely! I'm not familiar with where guitar center is located. Is that up in Fort Collins? We'll definitely have to meet up here shortly. I've seen a black vmax around town as well as a new vmax (his old yellow one is for sale at the harley/honda dealership in greeley).

Yeah fuel injection is nice when it comes carb cleanup time. Thankfully, I went over the fz1's carbs a while back and it's had fuel injection like reliability ever since! I love the sv's, they are awesome bikes. Gotta love a v-twin sport bike!

What does your user name mean??

M is just my first initial. Doe is a nickname I've hand forever. It's based on my last name, dohack. And then 8 was always my hockey jersey number of choice

The SV will be faster around the turns, but not the straights! It's a completely different bike but yet still kinda the same. They are close enough though that it comes down to rider. Shoot, you could hand me a new cbr 1000rr and I'd get whooped by a vmax around a road course i bet. I'm too much...

Sure is! Looks to be a good deal for both. We will be meeting up hopefully next wednesday...depending on whether my new front tire comes in or not
