Yes they have and no they are not sequential. They are El Cheapo ones.

OK so it was a ground issue. However, why do the fronts act like this? And yes, even when the bike is running they still blink this way. https://youtu.be/0gdBpOjZfsE Just a shi**y blinker? They have resistors wired in line.

Just to give some closure to this thread, Morley sent me his traveling electric kit and I replaced the pick up coils. Nothing. Swapped out the ignition unit and voila!!! Sooo.... Lesson here is always trust Morley to come through!

So I unplug these two off of the rear and everything works properly; turn signals, brakes, turn signal and brake. This is the ground right???

I have resistors on the front as well. The brake light works perfectly fine. Ground issue? I'm going to tear into it later.

Yeah, they just had a simple response that they did come with the pick up coils. I just figured that since a guy has that all tore apart you might as well change them both. Morley is sending me a different set of pick ups.

If a guy has a pre-1990 bike and doesn't want to spend the cash for OEM pickup coils and cannot use these for $130, could you just replace the entire stator coil with this...

I will post a pic but I'm pretty sure with all of the electrical work I have done that the coil was not connected entirely. I am thinking it was a very simple fix. I'll keep this updated.

My volt meter is giving me readings all over the place.

Pickup is the suspect right now. Gaps are good.

I can have my 89 sitting for weeks and go out to fire it up and it will start right up. I ride for a while or even just let it warm up, turn it off, and it won't fire back up for a while. I have fixed EVERYTHING that is associated with the hot start issue. I took it to Mark a few weeks ago and...

I was able to manage with some creative Dremel skills. Got it to work perfectly.

Some of the links listed above are for "self locking" nuts. Are those the nylon ones or the castle nuts? Does anyone know the thread pitch, etc?
