Would like some opinions on torque wrenches

Since you address me in your post I will reply by thanking you for your post. There is someone in our forum that is upset that this thread has gone "on and on and on" I think it is best to END THIS THREAD

    V boost control question

You can buy a device that makes the V-Boost always on. It's been almost 7 years since I owned a gen 1 so I forget the name of them. if that is what you might want I am sure someone will reply with the options.

Starting my hunt for a V-Max

A few guys have made the seats better but nobody has mastered it yet so you don't get numb nuts after an hour of riding....

    Today is a good day

I took the cover off my Vmax, disconnected the Battery Tender Jr. and slide it out to the middle of my garage on the new improved motorcycle dolly I bought last summer. I wheeled the Vmax off the dolly and put one of my rear wheel stands on, now it sits waiting until tomorrow to get a good...

Starting my hunt for a V-Max

People from 5'7" to 6'6" ride the Vmax, everyone does some mods to make them more comfortable. If someone was to master the the seat so it was not a problem rather than less of a problem they would sell a bunch. "THIS IS JUST MY OPINION NOT FACT" These Vmax's may be too long of a haul for you...

    Im back, what a year.

Welcome to the forum and I am sure there are many who can help you. I'm just like riding, not a racer or a mechanic. This is a great forum and I am sure you will like it. "The dumbest question is the one that isn't asked"

Anyone ever jet up to 130 mph or more on the vmax

Just my opinion but I think too many are over thinking this whole speed thing, you don't spend weeks planning it, it just happens. The tires with the proper pressure will gain pressure as you ride your Vmax. By all means be safe and if your Vmax isn't in top shape don't even try it. I have...

    Old school cruisin'

Yeah I knew at the beginning it was Costner from the Marlboro man, but if you watch the whole video is a copulation of a bunch of motorcycle riders and I guess the one I was focusing on was Peter Fonda Dennis Hopper and somebody on the back of Peter Fondas bike but he wasn't wearing a football...

    Old school cruisin'

That scene was from Easy Rider and a few more movies but the clip in question wasn't Costner he wasn't in Easy Rider and that scene was from easy Rider

Anyone ever jet up to 130 mph or more on the vmax

Good thing about Minnesota is there are lots of back country roads that are long and straight and NO speed cameras.

Would like some opinions on torque wrenches

I played for the Patriots for 10 years and hold the deadlift record for the world....LOL, but with that BS said I think I will snug it up and give it a short twist of the wrench and check it often for leaks. I've broken bolts before and it caused me a lot of problems so I like to be sure before...

Would like some opinions on torque wrenches

One thing for sure is there are a lot if opinions on using torque wrenches. I think I will snug it up. Then I will check it before each time I ride it and if I have any leaks I will get a new crush washer and torque it. I understand that experience is worth a lot by why the hell do the...
