Nice work. You might want to look at getting a Virago grab bar to replace the top of the sissy bar. Much quicker to change out and looks pretty good too.
Great idea. I usually have my 10 year old daughter come out and look at it while I'm on the bike. Feedback goes something like this, "ummm....it's between the top and bottom line thingys."
Looks good. I put a virago grab bar in place of the backrest. Looks better. I also run the bar end mirrors. Your next step should be to dump the huge tail light assembly. Like your fabbed stuff, different than what anyone else offers.
Thumbs up from me as well. Who else will send you parts before payment to make sure it's gonna fit or is what you want?
Edit: I haven't purchased anything from Captain Kyle or Maxgasser, but from all the posts it sounds like they operate the same way. Great bunch of stand up vendors.
Found this on CL this morning. Says it's a 96 but sure looks like an 06 to me. Could be a smokin deal for someone just outside Kansas City.

Make sure you order new gaskets to go under them. I didn't and my old ones leaked bad. Put new ones on and problem solved. Also, make sure you clean the top of the reservoir itself really good so there's a nice seal with the new gasket.
Nice bike. I've always liked the black on black of the 98. First thing you need to do is get rid of the crappy stock seat. One of Morley's cut downs or Maxgassers custom seats will make it much more enjoyable to ride for more than 50 miles.
So.... After dumping the bike a few weeks back with my 6 yr old daughter on the back I thought I had learned my lesson. Apparently not. I decided to take a circuitous route down to the lake of the ozarks and the road I mapped out was shut down due to bridge construction. Not having any kind...
I have the ixil can on my hindle system that is identical to yours. Sounds awesome. I've also been talking to mark about getting one of his 12" cans to fit.
