My bike wants to turn in sharper when I am turning at slow speeds, ie. residential neighborhood just putting around and turning onto another street. I have to hold the handlebars to keep it from turning all the way in. I have no death wobble at least up to 100mph and no deceleration wobble...

Thats a bummer. It did happen to me about 20 years ago. My friend was sitting on the bike while I was paying for gas. A lady backed into it. He jumped off and wasn't hurt. I got new mufflers, clutch handle, turn signal and my tank repainted. I probably came out to the better on that deal.

I've done the photoshop thing and made it all black. It looks okay on the computer from across the room, but I'm just a hack on photoshop and can't do it justice. As soon as I can sweet talk the wife into some new supertrapp slipons I will be giving Sean a call. Hopefully I get the bike back...

Ok, I think I'm leaning towards all silver scoops. Maybe I'll inlay the "YAMAHA" black. The side panels will be all black, that should make the chrome VMAX emblem really pop. Next up is a set of black supertrapp slip ons. Thanks for the input. Once again, this is the best forum in the milky way.

Yea, I think maybe silver on the scoops. Too many of those old games went the "wrong" way. I believe we play each other in the next couple of years. Hopefully they'll be good games.

Any opinions on painting my side scoops. I'm going to paint the faux tank, fenders and side panels black with a light diamond dust flake with a lot of clear over it to give it a lot of depth. Had this done before on an old maxim and it looked awesome. I just don't know if i should also paint...
