I read a few differnet things now that people have posted online that the 85 vmax had hotter cams and made more power, then they were de tuned. ANy truth to this? what was the 85 putting out for stock hp anyway?

I have a budy with a vmax that cuts out at 4k, tach dives to 0 and recently found out it has an 83 venture ecm. Are there any problems with ecm in this bike? What are some common causes for a bikes tach to dive like its been unplugged?

Any thoughts here, I think my vmax is leaking engine oil out of the clutch push rod. I also noticed my 85 motor does not seem to have a place for a seal (around the clutch pushrod that goes into the engine) unlike like my 86 motor. Was this a design change. Thank you
