I would like to change my battery in my 96 VMAX. What type of battery are you using? I am having the starter clutch issue just beginning, so I would like to fix this from the ground up

Ok little history. This is my first bike a 1986 vmax. I have been running the bike for the past 2 weeks with no issues at all other than getting used to the freaky amount of power it has. Ok on to the problem. I noticed over the weekend it was having problems starting. To me sounded like a...
Ran out of gas on highway (yet again). When I put gas back in, seemed like battery was very weak..engine barely turned and eventually did not turn. After about 30 min it did start up and died again a few miles later..started up again (right away) and finally got home. Is this a result of the gas...
Well my panosonic battery took a **** after being installed for 4 months! What a tird of a battery! I bought it offline (forgot from who) for 65.00 supposedly had more CCA than the Yuasa and of course cheaper that the Oddesy.

I bought the Panasonic LC-X1220P "universal" battery that the V-max Outlaw site links to. First off, love the price, $49. And it's a AGM type battery. (The AGM battery in my Valkyrie is 11 years old, so I'm sold on the technology. ) And even though it's 40 degrees here, the V-Max roared to...
Hey Guys,
Got my new battery the other day and installed it today.
The battery is a knockoff of the Odyssey PC680 and it is made by Gruber Power Services. Has all the same specs, just not the pretty colors. They are being sold on Ebay for $89.95....I ordered mine direct off their website for...
Can someone tell me which Odyssey battery # is correct for my 06Max. PC 680, PC 680MJ, or the PC 680MJT.
I want a direct fit with no mods.... Or is there a better battery for it, (no mods).
Almost forgot, I also bought and installed a Battery Tender Plus on my stock battery. Easy to do. Takes a little time to get things moved around for a tight fit but it all works out. Be prepared for the battery to "fume" or gurgle/bubble at first. It was news to me but others have said it is...
I needed a new battery and decided I wanted an AGM type. I take pretty good care of my batteries and usually get several years out of the lead acids. I thought about the Odessey but it would have to last for at least six years to pay for itself so I started checking around and found this...
well this is just an fyi. For anyone looking to buy a replacement battery you should probably do it quick. I hear from the parts guys that battery prices will be going up significantly within a couple of weeks. Price of lead being the cause. If you google battery prices you should find more...
My Bike was working fine, I change the plugs and battery, everything works except it won't start. I accidently touched the screwdriver while putting the positive on, and noticed that the lead which threads through to the rear plug was very short on wire. This is for an 85 Vmax. Any ideas?
I went out and rode my bike a few blocks the other day after not running it for a couple months. The battery did not seem to be low in the least after all the sitting in the cool weather. It made me wonder if I need to remove it or disconnect it all this winter.
Do you guys that live in cold...
Well since I busted my wallet on a new battery I fiqured I'd better invest in a tender. I picked up a Schumacker at the local Wally Mart. It seems well made and very heavy for such a little unit. Cant say that it's really good but for 40$ I think its ok. It comes with the handy plug which is...
I bought one yesterday, wow these batteries crank, right out of the box. It was a $ 160. investment. I could have got one of those ****** ones - one season batteries for $ 65. but said to myself - *** it ! and went with the best. I know most of you guys have bought these, this was the...
Hello,
I'm a newbee here but I have a reoccuring problem. Essentially I find that my VMax is eating batteries. I don't do a lot of miles on it and if I let it stand for more then a week the battery dies.
I have learned a few things to do and not do: I had a bike trickle charger which...
