Anyone have any tips on getting the left side flywheel cover off of my '91? I've removed all eleven bolts but no luck so far. I'm trying to replace the starter clutch using the instructions found here.
Hi everyone... I'm looking for a waterproof, breathable, nice fitting, lockable cover for my 2000 Vmax softail... The 5 layer Empire cover wasn't waterproof as advertised... Any suggestions on a great cover to fit my baby with price not an object??? Thanks for any info... :)
My vmax came without tank emblems and i want to order the correct original size 30-40 mm ? 30mm seems too small 40mm is the better of whats offered 30-55 mm.
I'm selling some Vmax stuff that's taking up space in the garage.
I'm selling this ALMOST perfect 2002 Vmax "Faux Tank"/ airbox cover in Carbon Fiber look.
I replaced it with Exactrep's real CF piece and no longer need it. It is is good shape, no dents, only one small and one tiny ding (see...
Hello, I have an '06 vmax that's missing one of the brushed aluminum plates that goes right beneath the reflector. Does anybody know where I can get one at? Here's a few pictures of what I'm talking about. Thanks, James.

Good afternoon guys, Question I have been noticing that the valve cover seems like its letting oil seep out very light but it has me worried. Do i need to put another valve cover gasket?
I have a Barnett clutch upgrade installed and I'm wondering if anyone has a line on a clear clutch cover for a Gen 1?
Wondering IF UFO is still taking orders for theirs? See it on Exactrep, but that's over seas. Also found one at vmaxshop.com. Hoping to find it in a match to the matte finish of...
Right about now I'm feeling like a genius and wanted to share my discovery. I've started to restore the '85 that I purchased new in my youth. Been wanting to replace the gouged up cover for years and finally starting searching the 'bay for one. What they're asking for one in mediocre shape seems...
Aloha everyone. Well, I just rebuilt my engine. I replaced all gaskets and o rings. Everything. For some reason, the stator cover is leaking from the removable insert cover you take off to look at the timing mark on the fly wheel. Not the screw in one, the cover mounted with two allen heads. All...
Just further proof that if left to my own devices I will putter around the garage until I run out of beer, lol. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, and it must flow a TON more air than stock because now the stock jetting doesn't want to cooperate :rofl_200:
Does anyone have a spare cover they care to sell? For some reason the center of the cover rattles like crazy and it's kinda pissing me off a little lol

Noticed a small leak under bike, it's coming from the Water Pump Housing but it's tightened up well....what can I expect to find behind the cover ??? Expensive ?
Does anyone have an idea what these might fit ? I bought a few today. I am thinking they might mount on top of the stator cover or clutch cover on sport bikes as i found some that said Hayubsa they mount with 4 screws. I am gonna hang one on my wall for man cave art.
I bought some 1 1/2" schedule 40 thick wall and it doesn't fit 43 mm forks. Do I need to get the thin wall?
I have the forks off the bike and when I bottom the fork tubes they seem to stick...like the rebound spring is sticking. Will a good cleaning and new oil take care of this? I'm using...
Correction: Tyga (damn auto correct)
$120 shipped. Minor crack by the top of cover where it butts up to gauge cluster. This is covered by the rubber seal and not visible when installed. Otherwise it's new and flawless.
Per Sean,
I dug out the Y section for the airbox and put in 1/4" spacers. Guess what?
It runs BETTER!
Before I converted to COPs, the bike would want to die at idle when it got hot, so I bumped the idle to 1250. (figured it was the carbs not being synced - hadn't gotten the sync tool...
