the carbs i recently bought have bad diaphragms... so i was looking for a cheap fix and found this guy on the ebay...

Hello All While working on my carbs I mildly scratched the diaphragm covers moving them on the bench. I forgot to move the rag under them :doh: How do you go about polishing them back to normal? Has anyone had to do this? Sorry if this is the wrong spot to post this was...

i have a torn carb diaphragm will this cause the bike to run poorly it is for cyclinder number 3 what kind of symtoms will this cause as far as bike performance in own an 85 model the bike has been running poorly almost like its running on 3 cyclinders

Hey all, I'm new to all this, was just wondering what cleaning products are safe or not safe when it comes to cleaning up the carb diaphragms. It seems like WD-40 would be just fine, do I stand correct perhaps?

A while back while (web) surfing I saw a few vmaxes with transparent diaphragm covers on the carbs. Does anybody have a lead on where to purchase them, or are they a home job custom only? :confused2: I beleive they were transparent purple? or some other color, not clear? Thanks everybody.
