hey i can't find it quick, does anyone know offhand what size jam nuts we need to hold the damper rod on the 85-92 forks? i may not be able to use the impact while the forks are in the bike trick, or it might be modified and just want that option readily available. its just a what, maybe 24"...

Are the early bikes(1988) trustworty enough to travel on if in good condition? Probably 1 thousand mile round trips. I'm thinking replace the wheel, neck, swing arm bearings and the rubber items around the carbs, get suspension in good condition and she should be good to go.

I have an 85... was designed to run on 91 Octane Leaded fuel w/o ethanol... everything near me has eth and is obviously unleaded... do these early engines have hardened valve seats or do they require a lead substitute?
