Since the carb is getting additional fuel from the adjacent carb, how is it getting the additional fuel with the advent of the additional air?

I am at wits end. I'm only getting about 20mpg. The bike seems to be running great except of course for the fact that I'm only getting half of the mpg I should be. The little red light is coming on at approx. 60 miles and it takes about 3 gallons. Any thoughts?

Does anyone know where to purchase a (NEW) fuel pump relay for a 2000 Vmax? I see used ones only and can't locate a NEW 6 pin G8D-04Y OMRON Relay. I got stuck on the side of the road till I jumped the fuel pump enough to get me home. Dealer says they have 4 pin but I need 6 pin. Thanks

As space is limited on my build I've been looking at in-tank pumps. However I know nothing about the different types. Most I've seen are for injected bikes and have I assumed a flow and return pipe. Anyone got any experience with these....I'm guessing they're not suitable for carbies ???
