I got the lated edition of motorcyclist magazine in today, nice article and cover story on the ZX14R. "Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R: A Vulgar Display of Power." It goes on how comfortable and refined it is, even said it rivals the Concours 14 and mentioned It handles like a bike 100lbs less...

FYI...The new issue (November issue) of motorcyclist magazine has a gen 2 max vs the diavel in a head to head comparison.

They call the Diavel, "the 'Game Changer.'" Sept. '11. "Cycle World" names the Diavel the "Best Cruiser." Same month. Because of its lighter weight, I am sure the Italian will handle better. However, I have only seen one article in print that said the Diavel was quicker.
