Trying to trouble shot the hot start issue. I've done it all just need the new R/R and a new starter so if anyone can direct me to a website or is selling one please let me know.

Bike is 1985 and I just hardwired a 1998 r/r with a 30amp fuse to the battery. Ground went to the neg battery post. Followed RAWarriors thread to the "T" and even mounted in the same location where the old coils were. I get 12.62 when turned off but when I rev to 2500rpm I get 18.08? Sorry...

Hi I read somewhere that all R/R are the same. We can use any that sort of fits. But is it ok to use one from smaller engine say for example from an R6 or Ninja 6R? Or does it have to be coming from the approximately the same engine size with Vmax? Thanks. Regards,

I have just worked out my '85 has had a different R/R fitted to it. Specifically, an RZ350 one! It has an extra wire - a brown one. From what I can tell it's to sense voltage. Can it just be connected to the red wire? Stupid bodgey wiring... :bang head:
