I have a 2003 v-max i need to get the battery out but how do you get the rear seats bolts out to remove the seat? Have the inside nuts removed but the bolts dont seem to want to come out.

I want to remove my front two header pipes so I can drop my oil pan. I removed the nuts from the head studs, and loosened the set screws where the headers slip onto the the cross-over pipe. But I am unable to get the pipes loose. Any thoughts?
