If I go back to stock CDI from Dyna is there another rev limiter available?

Does the vmax have a rev limiter? I have heard yes and no. Anyone willing to rev their bike in neutral to prove this? lol, Today I missed 3rd and over reved, man I hate that.

Is there any kind of built-in rev limiter on an 85 max? Does the spark cut out near red line?

does anybody have any ideas on rev limiters? i own an 86 and it seems not to have one id sure hate to hurt parts by over reving which ive done several times any help would be appreciated.

Hey guys just got my Vmax Venture home. to find the speed and rev counter are dead.. i need to replace them before i put the bike through and MOT. i dont want to spend a fortune and would preffer to put a digital set on... the set i have found are here...

I did the shot gun carb cleaning and when i got it all back together i fired the bike up and as soon as i shut the choke off it would just bog when ever i opened the throttle. As if the accelerator pumps arent doing any thing.:ummm: Help!!! Im going to americade with the bike thursday i need it...
