When I finally got to see one in person on our Icebreaker ride, it looks way better live than it does in the photos Yamaha has been shopping around. I found the seat too wide though. Were you able to start up the one at Sturgis?

No, the guy wouldn't start it. I agree that it looks 10 times better in person than in the Yamaha pics. To me, the seat felt similar to the Corbin seat for the 1st gen bikes.

Ah yes, I have the Corbin seat on mine. Hopefully the new Max seat is a bit more comfortable than the Corbin!!

The 09' V-max seat feels a little more comfortable than my stock 06'. The new seat feels more flat like the aftermarket, and the foam has more of a stiff feel. It felt good getting off mine after 120 miles. The rear seat, ehh, it's going to need replaced if you have a passenger.
