Hey!

My name is Javier, a 28 yo guy who is in love with his Vmax 1200 1986 bike.

I bought it on May and since then, I have been working hard to modify with my mechanic.
We work a lot to solve problems:

My vmax was mixing water with oil so we had to change ALL gaskets of the engine and problem started in air box in the middle of the V engine. Gasket was burned so motorbine overheated a lot and then head gasket broke.
So we changed also all water system, seals and radiator as well to make sure all was new and working properly.

I installed led lights and following the group I found wich cables had to cut to put a relay led flasher. And Honda CB 450 dx headlight who gives nice retro look and I painted the engine as well.

Also bought a Daytona Cube Speedometer to remove the original one that need to be installed yet.

I found a nice tank cover modified from ebay that gives a bully look that I love

Then I bought a FZR 1000 exup fork adapted for the vmax and he installed without problem with 17" front wheel and now I am looking for a rear 17" wheel. I was thinking on buy a FJR 1300 rear wheel but I read that need to be adapted so...wondering...someone has one ready to mount on for sale? Located in Spain

Posting photos and nice to be here!

The bike being a 1986, was cared-for cosmetically at least. That's a sharp bike.

The aftermarket airbox cover looks like it provides room for someone > 6 ft tall, w/that shape.

I like a round headlight on a vintage bike, I long-ago replaced my 5-3/4" OEM w/a 7" round one. It appears to me to provide a better illumination. No actual tests to confirm/deny this.
