Hola!

It's been years since I've been here... ...used to be VMOA member 320...

I hope all's well with you crazed VMax riders.

I've been holding on to my 123k mile 1990 V-Max (bought Feb 1st, 1993, at 10am) for 10 years since the head gasket blew.

The bike has 123,000 miles on it. It was bored out to 1500 by PCW when it had 77k miles.

John Gainey tells me he'll fix the motor for cheap, but I haven't been able to get it to him.

Looks like I'm not going to either... ..too many things going on.

This bike dynoed at 153 hp before the 41mm Keihn flat slide carbs were added (10 more?).

If you care to get it running, you'll get a HUGE kick out of the light-switch throttle and rattling carbs...

Anyone interested? ...it's in Albuquerque... you handle shipping , price is 'Best Offer'.

Have a good day,

Colin.

If the gasket was blown and it was just out away, it will most probably be a Rusty disaster.
If it was drained and flushed properly, you did the next owner a favor.
Is it currently apart or partially apart? Does it spin freely?

Thanks for the welcome..

Here are a few pics.. ...2001 Willow Springs pic, then three from the garage today... I'll try and spin the motor as soon as I can...

Looks like could use some cosmetics to be pretty again. Feel free to email me what you want to get out of it. Hate to make an offer that is a low ball deal. If your offer to me is too high I can counter as well. Fixing isn't quite as easy as you might expect but can be done without doing it all over again (provided the sleeve didn't shift in the bore).

My email is [email protected]

The bike is a bit dirty... i had to park it under a cherry tree while I was moving houses.... .it'll clean up nicely.. it's been in my garage for ten years.... :p
