Did you try cleaning out the seal first? There are special cheap tools you can buy or you can use a business card. Sometimes its just a piece of dirt holding the lip back causing the leak. Lift up the dust seal first.
 
On my bike, the right fork had a leak. I did the business card trick and the leak stopped. For over 10,000 miles and a trip to Kansas with it, I did not notice a difference on mine. I cannot tell you how much mine leaked compared to yours though. If it hasnt been leaking that long, I would say you maybe lost a couple CCs like mine and I would not suspect you would feel much difference in yours as well. If its been leaking quite a bit and for longer, you may have lost more and handling will be affected.

My advice....save money first. Clean the seal and see if the leak stops. Then ride the bike and see if it handles any differently. If it doesnt stop leaking, then unfortunately you will need seals. If it stops leaking but handles weird, you might as well get seals and oil and re-do the system anyway.
 
So I have one leaking , any info or vids showing how to do the second gen fork seals ?
There are no videos that I know of. I replaced one of my seals last summer. I did use the factory fork seal driver that I was able to get for 150.00. You MIGHT be able to use a piece of 2 inch pvc. 52 mm equals 2.04 inches. You will probably have to chamfere the inside lip a little to match up with the oil seal. I just used the factory diagram to see how things came apart and went back together. It is similar to the gen 1 setup on the oil seal and the dust seal.

can someone way in on how much oil to put in ? and is there any special assembly instructions for the Gen 2 forks having the adjustable settings ?
 
You need to actually measure the fork oil level. Its not as simple as topping off.

If you haven't already, download the service manual for your bike. Its free.

Then, starting on page 4-68 ending on page 4-76 will give you the break down of the front suspension and how to properly measure the fork fluid level.

It gives the disassmbly instructions, torque specs, fluid levels, and special tools. The seal driver is a 52mm, I bought OEM tool. It is nice to have , but as stated possibly can use some pvc.
There is another tool that holds the damper. As I discovered, there is a difference between 2009-2016 and 2017-2020. The damper has been improved design and uses a different holder. I had bought the original tool, , but since different for my 2018 I was lucky and the 8mm hex on and air impact was able to remove the damper without the newer special tool.
I took a few pictures I could share if it is a 2017 or newer.
I replaced the seal and dust cover. All good now.
Like stated, get the SM, take your time.

I didnt buy the newer model damper tool, but here is the measurements of original 2009-2016 damper tool. 26mm. See pics.

The newer one measusures 32m and is squareish with rounded corners. PN# 90890-01513

Fork seal driver is 52mm.
