86´ swap engine to 92

Hello all, I would like to know if I only need next parts for swap the late engine in my older 86´(1UT-000308);
-92 Engine(2EN-029157)
-CDI
-Cable Arness
-Starter relay

Very difficult to find 85´s to 89´s engines in good shade in Europe...lots of engines from 90´s and up

If you are using the harness from a '92 or later the following are also different:

• starter circuit cut-off relay
• turn signal relay
• possibly fuel pump relay (same number of wires but different colours)
• regulator/ rectifier

Thank you for the replay MaxMidnight,..you are right those relays/regulatro are diferent and have diferent conectors...

I´m thinking to use/need the 92 cable harness because it is easier to "accomodate" the later engine,isn´t it? What do you think?...

You can just put the 86 flywheel and pickup coils on the 92 engine and use all of your original stuff.

The Capn's suggestion is the simplest, the only bit of 'fun' you will have will be getting the flywheel off.
