95 vmax exhaust

my 95 vmax stock exhaust isn't in bad shape; however, a gentlemen at the dealership had an 05 vmax and put new pipes on it as soon as he got it. He since got rid of the bike, but when he found out i had a 95, he said he would give me his old exhasut system. Brand new...so i couldn't pass up the offer. If you wanted to buy the stock exhaust it would cost $1200 from the dealership :surprise: For the price....Aftermarket pipes are the way to go if your stock exhaust rusts out!

It appears the exhaust is identical. Anyone know if it will be a perfect fit?

You shouldn't, is he including all the gaskets? Those should be good enough to reuse....unless he's using him with his new system. There are 8 gaskets....four at the heads and 4 where the mufflers mount.

I think the gaskets are with it. I didn't check in the box. Are they crush gaskets?

I believe they are crush. Yamaha says to replace each time so my guess is yes.

All the gaskets were included with the exhaust. Could i reuse these or would i be pressing my luck?

Personally, I'd get new ones.
