Fortunately for us, you have many options when you want to upgrade the stock headlamp. I really was interested in trying the Harley twin cojoined headlamp pair (I like the Triumph Speed Triple 'bugeye' headlamp pair, from when they were round), but the 7" EMGO parts were available cheap, and the 'jewelled' H-D clear glass lens is readily available, I found one off craigslist for $30. It's advantage is the lack of facets/fluting in the glass, so if you decide to try an HID install w/it, your light pattern should avoid the 'scatter' common when running HID systems in traditional lenses.

Hyperpete, for some reason when I click on that link the thread will show up but the pictures will not. The v-rod look is pretty cool, was there a lot of fab work that had to be done to make that work? Fire-medic, that's a good look also!

not at all, just need brackets to mount it on , then wire it in..

If you are looking for more light or a better pattern, I have had good results with swapping out the H4 bulb with an LED replacement.

Form an aesthetics perspective, I am interested in how that light would look on a VMax.

Is it stock diameter or 7 in?

LED replacement is the way to go! However, the three prong bezel which holds the bulb / LED was not centered correctly. LED headlights have two LEDs. One for low. Two for high. This made the actual light cockeyed in front of me. I removed the entire assembly. Freed the center bezel from the base gave it about an 8 degree rotation. Reassembled. Good to go
