Well, I was shooting for 300 and I've hit 500 today!
Beautiful riding. Some sun, around 15 C degrees, not that much wind!

I did, however experience TWO firsts today :

1.) Some cougar was giving me sex eyes coupled with a wink at the gas station

2.) Some old douche in a Cadillac spent way too much time and effort trying to box me on a 4 lane highway. Guess he didn't want me to pass. he spent the whole time looking at me in his rear view, and matching the speed - whatever that was - of the vehicles beside him.

When my opportunity to pass him finally came up (a guy turned off) I pulled up beside him and shook my head. He gunned it - with an angry face. Trying to get to the next guy to continue blocking me. I just hammered it and got away from this idiot. Not too sure what his beef was - but he had one that's for sure. I'm not an idiot - and I like living, so I don't drive like a maniac though traffic - but this guy was something else.

Is this common for those who have been riding for awhile??

Weather has been great! Rode all weekend. And yes, welcome to the joys of riding a motorcycle, where every ahole in a car is trying to kill you. Just be aware of everything around you! :gun shoot::2gunsfiring_v1::flamethrower::th_biggun:

Well - I took Veronica out for a night cruise.

ZERO degrees celcius.

I made it about half an hour and turned around. I could barely squeeze the clutch my hands were so cold :p

When I came to stops, I would reach down and touch the engine to warm up. My gloves did nothing to help.

Maybe it's time to put the lady in for the winter *sigh*

No snow here yet either! I'll be out for a tear this afternoon, and again this weekend! Then I'll think about putting the bikes away :(

Any motorcycle can lose some crazy/clueless cage driver in the city, but it takes a Vmax to lose a car on the highway. Sure, my V30 Magna would do 115, but much past 80 there wasn't much acceleration....downshift, floor it and wait. Not with the Vmax...roll on the gas and watch objects in mirror get smaller.

Early this summer I got into a highway race with of all things...a minivan. I was cruising in the right lane about 80 on my Magna- left lane was clear, there was very little traffic. I see some headlights rapidly approaching behind me, and I figure they're just swerve around me. All of a sudden a Siena minivan is right on my ass...like stupid close...maybe 6 or 8 feet. We were going up a slight hill, and I dumped the gas on the bike, but the little 500cc mill just didn't have any more pull in 6th. Dropped it to 5th to bring the revs up to the powerband around 8000 and started picking up speed. The minivan stays right with me for probably a mile up this long grade...I couldn't get the bike much over 90. Finally it moved over into the left lane and flew by me. Must have been some kid trying to mess with me in his mom's minivan.

Get used to it, it happens. Don't let it bother you, just act responsibly and don't let your temper drive. While that isn't really a good idea in a car, it's REALLY not a good idea to try and "get back" at a car on a bike.

1060kms!

And it snowed a wee bit during my ride.

Think I almost got frostbite. Hands were so painful!

I think I am going to put her away for the season now.

i might be in for more if mother nature helps out and my heated grips come in and are easily installed.

I am seriously installing the grips for next season.

That's the worst part about the cold is the hands.

Mike, Im in:biglaugh:

There's a shocker!!........You're always "in".............I know you got chains and studs for your tires.......

Hey, don't forget me! Maybe we can set it up a little closer to NY, ya think? Days are gettin' so short my ride consists of going to Mass., saying HI to you guys, and going back home!! :rofl_200:

This is true, if we move any farther west you gotta travel more, any farther east I take the hit. Maybe we'll get lucky with some warm weather and be able to meet earlier, maybe 9:30 - 10:00....would that work?

I think the guys with grip warmers could handle that....let's see who would that be.......:ummm: Oh yea...Garrett & me!! :rofl_200: If mine get here in time! :confused2:
