i found the t-boost thing to be little more than a novelty. It just makes the bike run too rich, hurts torque and sucks gas. I will agree it gives an odd "seat of the pants" feeling the bike is more responsive, but in reality, it's slower. You can also make one yourself with a few basic electrical components, all they do is feed the servo controller the signal from 2 coils instead of 1, so it thinks the engine is spinning twice as fast as it really is.
The ignition can help a little, getting a rev limit feature is nice if you plan on flirting with the limiter frequently. I just went with a shift light stuck to the side of the speedo.
