Nice pic. What kind of cans are they?

They're the older UFO 4-2 system. They were on the bike when I bought it. Actually this exhaust and it's sound sold the bike. As soon as the guy started it, I said sold. Never even rode it.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Chris...
So my only other question is should i order the pre 93 rotors even though i have the newer style wheels on my 85? probably cause i have 85 calipers huh? Oh and do you use ebc pads or galfer?
Thanks> Bill

I use the EBC but Galfer makes good ones too. He'll sell you both.

If I were you I would take the opportunity to upgrade my brakes to the newer style. You've got that bike looking sweet as shit. You might as well make it stop like it looks!

But yeah. If you keep the two pots up front you will need the smaller front rotors or three of the back rotors... The waves make a hell of a difference. At least they did on mine. Did I mention the rear weighed (by my scale) 1 lb less than the stocker? It did.:thumbs up:

I told Mike from white buffalo that my bike was an 85 but i had the newer style wheels. So i'm not sure if i would need 85-93 rotors or 94-07? either way he said the price is the same ($120.00 each)just different part numbers. Where did you end up getting yours and what did you pay for them?

First of all, I didn't realize that they (Galfer) make solid wave rotors for the '93 and newer front. I would have gone that route as I don't think you need floaters on a Max as 4gasem mentioned. I would think you will have to match your rotors to the brake calipers you're using since you have a hybrid front end. The newer rotors are 298mm wide and 5mm thick. The older ones are smaller and thicker, like the rear on all years.

That being said, I ended up buying the chinese front rotors off Ebay for $190 a pair shipped. (The ones that started this thread.) I'm very happy with them. They have a higher stainless steel content than the Galfers (they don't rust, but I think the rotors with more carbon dissipate heat better) and while they were direct bolt ons, the rotor bolt holes weren't countersunk and I had to use flat Kawasaki style rotor bolts for fork clearence.

I haven't used them much due to the weather so I haven't really written them up yet for performance. Quality wise, I think they look better than any other rotors I've seen. They even have black epoxy around the edge of the rotor for a nice finished look. Let the flames begin.
